Dyson DC28 Animal
I do not know exactly where to start. I have owned a Sears, a Hoover and Electrolux (unfortunately, Electrolux is not what used to be). I researched and read reviews at least 100 vacuum YouTube impartial reviews, and talked to sales associates. After several months I reduced it down to the Dyson DC28 and Miele Titan. I will not waste your time talking about why I chose the DC28 Miele Titan, but if you want me to draw, leave me a comment and I will promptly respond.
For DC28 goes, it really does not have an incredible week! We have a long-haired Australian Shepherd who sheds hair sometimes a foot long, and we regularly have guests, and I confess I am a clean freak, and I vacuum once a day. But with all the daily vacuuming, I was not so much me sick. I vacuumed my whole house before I vacuumed with my DC28, and I filled the can past maximum capacity, so halfway full again the next day. It's amazing all the dirt and dander and small particles, this vacuum kicked up it was like a fine powder (see my photos above for proof). I have also cleaned the level of my girlfriend's house who has a samoyed and we filled the jar 5 times at once and emptied maybe 2 pounds of hair, dirt, dander and small particles (she uses an Oreck XL Pro Plus, I think.) Despite other reviews, this vacuum is not difficult to maneuver, the incredible airmuscle technology sucks that this machine makes it * different * to maneuver in the beginning but I got used to it after half an hour. The machine is stiff at first, but if you buy something new, it is very common (mine loosened up after a few days).
The four height options are bare floor (lower / no beater brush), low pile, medium pile and high pile. I have a medium carpet and use it on the low pile setting to really get beater brush into the carpet! My carpet looks healthy shampooing every day. You can feel the suction in the hand using a shopvac in the garage, you know you have it all! This machine also has a large 35 foot cord power that is soft and easy to pack up the back of the vacuum, with a strong clip to secure the cord. For floor cleaning of any kind, it is excellent. When the tool goes, it comes with four, which I will pass. MINI TURBINE AIRCRAFT HEAD (retail 70 bucks separately) works well for cleaning the mattresses, beanbags cloth (lovesac / cordaroys), fabric, furniture, small hard to reach areas between furniture and stair cleaning (attaches to pop out the handle connected to the 17 foot vac hose is ideal for cleaning of the stairs without moving the machine). Secondly, the flat-out tool (sold separately 50 bucks), and it is great for vacuuming under tables, chair legs and furniture when they switched to pop out wand. It also comes with a nozzle, which is a combo hard Brush tool, and a soft, wide-angle tools with soft fuzz on the bottom to thoroughly clean delicate surfaces or furniture. HEPA filters are easy to wash, just rinse it out every 3 months, let it dry a day when pop it again and keep clean!
I hope that this review is helpful to anyone, and do not forget to look at the product pictures I posted above. I know that the review is long, but I wish I would have had a detailed review like this to guide me while contemplating to spend $ 600 on a vacuum cleaner, but it's really worth it. I use it every day, and I welcome questions / comments anyone has about my experience with this vacuum, or vacuum itself. Thanks for reading!
